Refund Policy
At illuminIP, we strive to provide our clients with the highest quality of intellectual property services. However, we understand that circumstances may arise where a refund is requested. Our refund policy ensures transparency and fairness in handling such requests.
General Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered under the following conditions:
- Service Cancellation: If a client cancels a service before the work has commenced, they are eligible for a full refund of any advance payments, excluding any non-refundable third-party costs.
- Partial Service Completion: If a service is cancelled after work has commenced but before its completion, a prorated refund will be provided. The refund will account for the portion of the work already completed and any third-party costs incurred.
- Non-Delivery of Service: If we are unable to deliver the agreed-upon services due to internal reasons, the client will receive a full refund of any fees paid for the undelivered services.
Non-Refundable Services
The following services are non-refundable once work has commenced:
- Government Filing Fees: Once government or regulatory body fees (e.g., trademark, patent, or copyright filing fees) are paid on behalf of a client, these are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Third-Party Services: Costs incurred for third-party services (e.g., translation, expert consultations, technical drawings) are non-refundable once these services have been initiated.
- Consultation Fees: Fees for initial consultations are non-refundable, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Refund Process
To request a refund, clients must:
- Submit a Written Request: A written refund request must be sent to info@illuminIP.com, outlining the reason for the request and relevant details of the service.
- Processing Time: Upon receiving the refund request, we will review the case within 7 business days. During this period, we may request additional information if needed.
- Refund Issuance: If the refund is approved, it will be processed within 14 business daysfrom the date of approval. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method originally used by the client.
Conditions for Refund Denial
Refund requests may be denied under the following circumstances:
- Completion of Services: Once the service has been fully rendered (e.g., filing completed or legal representation provided), no refunds will be granted.
- Client Misrepresentation: If a refund request is based on misinformation or if the client provided incorrect or incomplete details that led to delays or errors, refunds will not be granted.
- Missed Deadlines: If a client fails to meet deadlines (e.g., providing necessary documents) resulting in the non-completion of services, this will not qualify for a refund.
Disputes and Mediation
We encourage open communication to resolve any issues regarding service delivery. If there are any concerns regarding the quality or completeness of the services provided, please contact us at info@illuminIP.com to discuss possible resolutions before requesting a refund. If a dispute arises that cannot be resolved internally, both parties agree to pursue mediation before considering any legal proceedings.
Changes to the Refund Policy
illuminIP reserves the right to modify or amend this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients and published on our website, ensuring continued transparency.
